Terra Nova Village Mall has opened
TRICHARDT – The Terra Nova Village Mall is celebrating its official opening with a day of fun, entertainment and lots of opening specials on 21 March. The first phase of this complex is completed and tenants are ready to move in and decorate and prepare their shops to welcome their first customers on Human Rights Day. Visitors to the mall are in for a culinary treat with a speciality chocolate shop, a lounge and wine bar, a biltong shop, an Indian spice and curry shop, a restaurant and an up-market OK Foods, the latest Spec-shop of this franchise.
The mall also caters for other amenities, such as a Crazy Store, a laundromat, a Postnet with available post boxes, clothing stores, gift shops, a cellular shop, an OK Liquor Store, a barber and a car wash. A pharmacy is also in the pipeline. Other speciality businesses include a pet shop, a vet, an estate agency, a perfume shop and ATM facilities of Absa and Nedbank. According to Ms Mandy Loubser, centre manager, there are still offi ce space to let from the landlord, TroniCorp. A second phase aimed to be completed by mid July, will bring a refreshing new adventure for young and old in the form of an iJump Trampoline Park. This national iJump franchise will be the 8th outlet in South Africa, but the first one in Mpumalanga. A Total fi lling station with an off ramp from the N17 highway is also on the map as part of the Terra Nova Village Mall development. This 5 500 square metre mall is a key component of the larger Terra Nova town development. The area is expanding rapidly with the recent launch of The Meadows development of 350 full title deed units and the retirement village.
The big opening of Terra Nova Village Mall will offi cially begin with two ribbon cutting ceremonies at 9am on the public holiday in March. The fi rst will be at the entrance to the mall to also formally proclaim the new street named Louis van der Hoven Street in honour and memory of the late chief builder of Terra Nova.
The second ribbon will be cut at the mall entrance. The drum majorettes from Laerskool Secunda, Laerskool Goedehoop and Laerskool Kruinpark, as well as a speech choir from Laerskool Trichardt, will be part of the performances on this day. “We are planning a line up of music, jumping castles and numerous other fun activities,” said Ms Loubser.
